HS sports realignment defeated again

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The specter of split tournaments is looming over some Ohio high school sports after a proposal to realign divisions failed to win approval for the second year in a row.
 
The plan to change how schools are assigned to tournament divisions in football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball failed 339 to 301 in a vote by members of the Ohio High School

Sweat: Concussion ended football career

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Former Ohio State linebacker Andrew Sweat decided to end his NFL career before it began because of concussion symptoms. 
 
Sweat wasn't drafted, but was signed as a free agent by the Cleveland Browns.  
 
He had a concussion during the Buckeyes game against Purdue this past season.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Corey Brown and Xavier Paul each hit a home run as the Syracuse Chiefs downed the Columbus Clippers, 5-1, at Huntington Park Tuesday. 
 
Matt Pagnozzi knocked in the only run for the Clippers, while Corey Kluber was nailed with the loss.

Tiger returns to Memorial

COLUMBUS, Ohio –After a two-year absence, Tiger Woods will return to the Muirfield Village Golf Club later this month as part of the Memorial Tournament field.
 
His appearance was confirmed Monday, along with 2011 FedExCup champion Bill Haas, Australian transplant Jason Day and Matt Kuchar, winner of last week’s Player’s Championship.

Sweat chooses law school over NFL

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Former Ohio State linebacker Andrew Sweat decided to change his career path. 
 
According to the "Columbus Dispatch" Sweat will go to law school instead of trying to make the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent. 
 
Sweat has been accepted to five law schools.

Report: Bucks to visit Duke
