Ohio unemployment inches down in April

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio's unemployment rate fell for the ninth consecutive month, to 7.4 percent in April from 7.5 percent in March, according to data released this morning by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Same street, different day. For the second night in a row, Columbus police officers have exchanged gunfire with a suspect on S. Champion Avenue.
Police say a man opened fire on officers from a second-story window of a home at 1652 S. Champion Avenue after they chased him into the home just after 8:30 Thursday night.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - A New Albany man who served as treasurer for charter schools in Columbus, Youngstown and Dayton faces up to 10 years in prison as the result of a plea-bargain with federal authorities who have charged him with embezzlement.
